Day 13. “Wild Geese that Fly with the Moon on their Wings…
HOME– … these are a few of my favorite things.” It’s Friday morning. I have the day off. The sunrise wakes me up slowly and sweetly. Soon, coffee in hand, I’m surfing my favorite blogs when I run across The Cutting Edge of Ordinary’s post about Lisa’s 50 favorite things. She had run across a similar post on Elsewhere Living.
My heart is beaming with good memories of my own favorite things. And, of course, that song is running through my head over and over and over.
However, things soon go Friday-the-13th on me. My site goes down on my 13th post. It comes back and then crashes again — a good 13 times. And now it’s Saturday. And that song is still running through my head.
It seems Friday the 13th wasn’t so lucky for a lot of blogs hosted by DreamHost. Apparently thousands of sites were down. This afternoon seems better and it looks like I may be able to finally post yesterday’s post without crashing the Paper Apron.

Love it! I’m so happy that the 50 faves is moving along. I could easily check off about 30 of your faves as my own.

I think I should start making a list of my own too. This is one way of getting to know yourself better. You what like and don’t like. This is probably of the things that would lead me to the best job in the world. You’ve got a fantastic list.

I’m a bad girl, i dont come to your site as much as i’d like, but when I come I stay a while, i’m halfway through the month, and I have to stop to take a breath and share. I have your blue chair, and i am sure the set that goes with it that I painted red in my breakfast nook decorated in lots of greenery. What is the lighting you are using on your indoor shots, that’s how I want my shots to turn out, and I am not getting it, or is it the lens? I only have a 50mm manual and have a astigmatism in one eye, so I really need the automatic. I have a 70-120 i think that i usually use. And half of your 50 favs i said, oh mine too! especially those pearl shakes, yum! And i love all the recipes, especially the lemon bark, so pretty. I also love the happy b’day to your aunt, that’s so sweet. I ended up with all my family’s pictures, I have so many. My home is full of antiques, nothing fancy, from my family and yard sales. I have 2 full sets of china, a huge set of silver, and so many kitchen pieces. I dont share the love for wearing aprons. Its always so hot! Late at night when i’m cooking i’m usually in shorty shorts and a tank, i wish we were further north or closer to the coast, soon.
