HOME– This is Miss Mazy Grace, my Christmas present. It was puppy love at first sight. Now you see why I had to draw her in this issue’s masthead. What a baby doll!

Mazy’s a golden retriever, 8-weeks old, born up in Charlotte, NC. We brought her home on Sunday.
I’m shamelessly proud, I know, but I think you all understand. She’s my first dog since I was a child. I’ve always had cats. In fact, my cat, Servo, is having a hard time adjusting to his fuzzy little sister.
@Christy, I know how much you love dogs. I can’t wait for you to meet her. It sounds like a lake party is in order at the first sign of warmth this year! I’m hoping that can be Mazy’s home away from home. I think she’ll love the water. I only wish she could’ve met Otis.

Kim what a beautiful present!! I love the name too! I had a Golden named Sage growing up, he was just the best dog. I still miss him. He LOVED the water.
I can’t wait to see her “growing” up here on the blog!
Also wanted to wish you a peacful and joyous Christmas! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you and becoming blog buddies. I wish you all the best my freind.

I do love dogs–my favorite of God’s creatures! I fostered a beautiful older golden in her last months named Blush–she was a sweetie. I’m sure that Mazy wil enjoy the lake! I have a great picture of the boys, from the back, fishing off the dock with Otis right in the middle–I keep it in the hallway and always smile when I see Otis wagging his tail! I was wondering what Servo thinks of Mazy!! I’m sure his world has been disrupted with a canine! Does he chase her? or steer clear of her? merry christmas eve.

Merry Christmas, Kim and Rich and Mazy! I had a retriever when I was a kid. He was a cross between a Lab and a Chesapeake Bay retriever. Mother gave him the totally unimaginative name of “Rover”; I called him “Knuckle head” and this was confusing at times because Carl answered to the same name. But in our house, cute only went so far, and I was forced to play with Carl and take him to walk, and I had Rover for companionship.
We have a new dog also, thanks to Chris who decided he couldn’t handle the responsibility of dog ownership and college at the same time so we agreed to take Lucy the Beagle.Happy New Year!

Love the puppy, so cute. Hope you had a wonderful holiday! I took inspiration from you and am trying 5 posts a week for a while, till I get tired of it anyway. Oh, divinity wasn’t something I could have either. Just one piece, maybe, didn’t know how easy it was.
